Arnab Goswami’s newly launched news channel Republic yesterday aired 19 audio tapes, which pointed towards former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor’s involvement in wife Sunanda Pushkar’s death in 2014. Arnab also blamed the Congress government for helping Shashi Tharoor move away smoothly from this crime. This didn’t go down well with Tharoor and a stern reaction from him was obvious.
After the report was aired, Shashi Tharoor lost his cool. Frustrated Tharoor who is an Oxford graduate tweeted, –

He again tweeted –
I am angered that someone would exploit a human tragedy for personal gain&TRPs. I challenge him to prove his false claims in a court of law.
The serious tweets were taken in humorous context by Twitterati for the use of big English words in it. They soon started trolling him left, right & centre for the choice of words. Everyone was at their creative best and started cracking jokes on Tharoor. For quite a while it appeared like a war of memes is going on Twitter.
