New Delhi: The old adage goes hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and it is also said that behind every successful man there is a woman and on Tuesday India opener Shikhar Dhawan showed that how he treats his wife like a queen. He might be a terror for opposition bowlers, but when it comes to the Dhawan household, he happily takes a backseat.
Dhawan is clearly showing his humorous side and it comes from the fact that he has been in terrific form on the field. In three games in the Champions Trophy so far, he has managed to register scores of 68 against Pakistan, 125 against Sri Lanka and 78 against South Africa. Dhawan has been mighty impressive and would wish to continue the good form against Bangladesh when they lock horns in the second semi-final on Thursday.
The Indian team enjoyed their win against South Africa on Sunday by taking it easy on Monday and Tuesday and the boys are expected to sweat it out on Wednesday as they gear up for the challenge to face Bangladesh in the second semi-final in Birmingham on Thursday.
While India hold the edge against Bangladesh, skipper Kohli has said that the players will not be taking it easy against their Asian rivals. "We played in Birmingham before. We like that pitch. It suits our game," said Kohli after the win over South Africa. "There's no looking back. There's always room for improvement. We can't rest on your laurels.”
