The incidents of stars of various fields committing suicide are increasing with time which has caused a tension among various fan bases. One more addition to this list is Mark Salling. The actor was found hanging recently which caused his death.
Mark Salling, the actor best known for his role in TV series Glee, has died at the age of 35. The initial inquiry has stated that the actor has committed suicide following the case against him for child abuse.
Salling’s lawyer has also confirmed the news. He said, “Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment.” He further added, “The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”
In May 2016 a search warrant led to the discovery of over 50,000 images on his computer and flash drive. Salling pleaded guilty last October to possession of child abuse images, and his sentencing was scheduled for 7 March.
In a plea agreement reached with prosecutors, Salling was to face 4 to 7 years in prison to avoid a maximum sentence of 20 years. Salling was ordered to pay each of his victims $50,000 and register as a sex offender.
Meanwhile, Salling had appeared in his breakout role in “Glee,” the popular TV series about students in a high school glee club and their circle of family and friends which had aired from 2009-15.
