One of the greatest traits of excelling in any job is 100 per-cent dedication towards your work, especially when you start your days and some initial days to the job.
“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” – Vince Lombardi
Walter Carr recently joined an organization where his job was to help people move their house. His first clients were Jenny Lamey and her husband Chris, who stayed some 20 miles away from his house. Unfortunately, Walter’s car broke down a night before his first day. The dedicated young man then began walking around midnight and walked 20 miles to reach the house on time.
“Walter said that he was supposed to help us with our move today. The officer proceeded to tell us that the previous evening, Walter’s car broke down and he didn’t know how he was going to get to work. So he left Homewood at MIDNIGHT and started WALKING to Pelham on 280. He WALKED ALL NIGHT,” wrote Lamey on her Facebook.
“The police said they picked him up earlier that morning, took him to get some breakfast and once they checked his story out, brought Walter to our house,” reports Inquirer.
“If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride – and never quit, you’ll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.” – Paul Bryant
The couple even asked Walter if he wanted to rest before starting, but he politely refused and began working.
The CEO of Bellhops Moving, Luke Marklin was amazed and extremely proud of this new employee and wanted to award him for his dedication.
We surely appreciate the dedication of this young man and every employee should be as dedicated as him for success in career.
