A Married Couple Did Empty Nest Photo Shoot After Their Children Left Home For Graduation

A Married Couple Did Empty Nest Photo Shoot After Their Children Left Home For Graduation
Well, a new trend is coming soon as those who don’t have their gender reveal celebration party can now have their official “empty nest” kind of occasion when their children leave to different cities for the graduation or further studies.
The couple Vicky and Jeff Piper celebrated it off with great start while many of their friends are worried for them as of how they would feel once their kids officially went away for studies. This couple just gave the world a new tradition without knowing the response they are getting now.
Few weeks back,  Vicky and Jeff dropped off their son to Cameron at Saginaw Valley State University for further studies. And they returned to a free-child home almost after 20 years. Where most of the parents get sad about this fact, Vicky and Jeff talked about it and take it in a positive way which means they can spend more time together and can go on endless date nights. Though they got teary-eyed when their son Cameron left but they sort it out in the most adorable way.
Talking about it the couple said, “My husband and I had been really talking about what life would look like for us,” Vicky — whose daughter, Caitlyn, also left for college last year — tells PEOPLE. “He was just like, ‘I would love to just be able to date you all over again. It’s going to be good, and we’ll have time to go do stuff for us”.
Followed by Cameron departure, the couple got a lot of calls as of how they were doing, and that’s the time when Jeff came up with the idea of the photoshoot with an abundant nest of birds in the backyard, The nest, he said, was a reflective of the change that had just occurred in their home.
Have a look at the picture:
Vicky — a realtor from Springboro — then grabbed the chalkboard they used for Cameron’s graduation and wrote “empty nest” and the date on it, since that’s what “all of the millennials” do for their announcements, she says while laughing. The two then called a friend to help them take a few pictures on her iPhone.
“We thought it was so funny. We were just cracking up,” Vicky recalls of their spontaneous photoshoot. “The two of us we thought we’d find it incredibly funny, but nobody else would.”
Vicky posted the pictures on her facebook and got an unexpected response as it went viral with 195,000 likes and 44,000 shares. Their children Cameron and Caitlyn too found the pictures hysterical. They both said, ‘You guys are having way too much fun without us!’ ” she says. “As a family, we have a lot of fun, but they thought perhaps we would just be sitting around and doing nothing!”
Even their son has a hilarious response to their photo shoot which looks like this:

The couple is now looking forward to their date nights and to travel as much as they can. Vicky said, “We’ve raised our kids and now they’re truly spreading their wings to fly — and we made mistakes along the way — but, ultimately, when the kids had their ups and downs they were in the nest, and we helped them through it. But now when they leave you just have to sit back like, ‘You know what? We’ve done well”.
