However, she had to face wrath and flak of people when she took the decision of getting married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik considering the fact that India and Pakistan are arch-rivals. Ever since, she had to prove her love and loyalty for India quite a few times, especially when haters tried to troll her on social media by calling her a Pakistani.
