Sui Dhaaga stars Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan
Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan along with the Sui Dhaaga team made an eco-friendly Lord Ganesha idol on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Interestingly, Varun and Anushka are sharing screen space for the first time in Sharat Katariya directorial venture Sui Dhaaga and the stars are currently busy in the promotions of their film.
As part of Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, Varun and Anushka made a beautiful lord Ganesha idol using threads. Anushka, Varun and the Sui Dhaaga team also shared a video of the same on their Instagram account.
In the film, Varun will be seen in the role of Mauji while Anushka will essay the role Mamta. Sharing the video on his Instagram, Varun captioned it as, ‘’Watch how Anushka Sharma surprises me. The 'Sui Dhaaga' team made a bio-degradable Ganpati Bappa Morya. Let's celebrate an eco-friendly Ganapati this year. Team 'Sui Dhaaga' made a bio-degradable Ganapati."
Meanwhile, the official Instagram page of Sui Dhaaga sharing the video wrote, ‘’@anushkasharma & @varundvn bring in Ganeshotsav this year with a special eco-friendly Ganpati Bappa made completely with threads! Iss #GaneshChaturthi , sab badhiya hai! :) #SuiDhaagaMadeInIndia | @yrf.
In the film, Anushka will be seen in a non-glamorous role. She is essaying the role of a wife, who turns out to be a source of motivation for her husband (character played by Varun Dhawan). She encourages him for self-employment.
Anushka and Varun’s Sui Dhaaga is slated to release on September 28.
