Our very favorite characters from American fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie walked down the aisle. While Kit played the male protagonist John Snow, Rose played Ygritte in the show.
The couple fell in love while filming for the show and dated for a few time before they decided to get married. The news about their marriage was doing the rounds for quite some time now.
Rose and Kit got married at a church in Aberdeenshire.
All the guests were waiting outside Rayne church in Kirkton of Rayne, and the newlyweds were beautifully showered with flower petal confetti as they left.
After completing the marriage rituals in the church, the couple drove away in a vintage Land Rover Defender which was beautifully decorated for the newlyweds with paper hearts and tin cans tied to the back. Kit and rose headed for their reception at Leslie’s family’s 12th-century castle.
The wedding was attended by the Game of Thrones star cast which included Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke, as well as Jack Donnelly and his partner, fellow actor Malin Akerman.
Talking about the bride and the groom, while Rose wore a beautiful flowing ivory gown and veil for the ceremony, Harington was dressed in a morning suit. Both perfectly complemented each other.
Rose’s father Sebastian was extremely happy to see his daughter and Kit getting married and said, “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today. It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”
He further added, “It’s a great day for Aberdeenshire. We are using local caterers, local lighting, local flowers.”
Fans of the show gathered outside the castle hoping to catch a glimpse of the couple.
