Ekta Kapoor is well-known for producing successful TV serials which stay on viewer’s list for decades. Ekta’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi had a great run from 2000-2008, Sakshi Tanwa’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii too aired during the same time. However, Kasautii Zindagii Kay premiered in 2001 and continued till 2009, making it a 9-year run.
One of the most loved serials was Kasautti Zindagi Kay which had Sakshi Tanwar in lead role. According to reports, Ekta is coming back with its second part. According to reports, Erica Fernandes will play the lead role this time.

The promo shows Erica dressed exactly like Shweta Tiwari in the original series- black suit and red long dupatta. Looks like Ekta wants to hold on to the essence of the much-popular show.
When Erica was asked about the casting recently, she had told a section of the media, “Oh no! that’s completely not true. Having said that, it’s great to know that Kasautii is making a comeback, as it was really nice show. If I sign something, I would break the news myself. Until then, I am just going to travel around the globe and explore.”
The actress was not ready to reveal it but the truth came out very soon after that.
Recently, Ekta took to Twitter and posted an emotional post. She wrote, “Remake of Kasautii Zindagii Kay created buzz ever since Ekta hinted on her Twitter by writing, “With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001, 17 years later I Reboot it dipping in personal pain & lacing it with experiences of an older me! Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 yrs! Again I’ll take my broken heart & make it into art! #NamesToBeAnnounced”.

The show depicted the iconic love story of Prerna and Anurag Basu. A lead couple of Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Shweta Tiwari and Cezzane Khan shared combustible chemistry and due to that, they continue to be one of the most popular TV jodis of all times.
Erica Fernandez was last seen in Sony TV’s Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi opposite Shaheer Sheikh which ended last year. The actress was widely appreciated for her beauty and acting skills. After this, the actress got busy with her own YouTube channel and travel blogs.
