Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak has received an honour for her first film. The actress was felicitated at the first Women in Film and Television (WIFT) India Awards for Dhadak. The event was held in Washington D.C. and was also attended by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Swara Bhasker.
Pictures of the event have already surfaced on social media. In one of the videos, which went viral on internet, Janhvi can be seen sharing a hearty laugh with Aishwarya.
It was Janhvi's first award and she didn't leave any stones unturned to flaunt her elegant style game. The diva wore a Reema Acra strapless baby pink gown with silver embellishments. She paired the outfit with silver strappy heels and diamond studs. Hair left in loose curls and nude makeup rounded off her look. Janhvi's stylist took to Instagram to share her pictures. Meanwhile, Aishwarya won the inaugural Meryl Streep Award for Excellence. She was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya and mother Brindya Rai.
On a related note, Janvhi will next feature in Karan Johar's directorial Takht, which is a period drama based on Mughal era. The movie has an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
